Information and purpose
StoryStar may collect account information such as a name, email address, and authentication identifiers; character information such as photos, names, ages, and descriptions supplied by the adult creator; generated stories and illustrations; order and subscription records; and basic device, browser, and analytics information used to operate, improve, and secure the service.
Photos and personal details are used to create the book requested by the account holder. Payment card details are processed by StoryStar's payment provider and are not stored as card numbers by StoryStar. Operational service providers may process limited data for hosting, AI generation, payment processing, email delivery, analytics, and print fulfillment. StoryStar does not sell customer data.
Children and customer choices
StoryStar is intended for use by parents, guardians, and other responsible adults, not by children independently. The adult account holder is responsible for having permission to upload photos and personal details. StoryStar does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
Customers can delete books, characters, and their account through available settings. To request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal data, or to ask a privacy question, email hello@storystar.io.
